Sidecar bar and discotheque is located in Plaza Reial. It is two floors with a lounge bar and restaurant on the ground floor and a sub basement dance room. In the sub basement they have international DJ´s and live bands performing throughout the week. It is know to be the place to dance on Sunday nights with a mix of house and reggae. Their live performances cover a range from hip-hop to new age fusions to rock. The best idea is to check early on the performance of the night at the restaurant or in the Catalunya Today paper at newsstands.
There is a cover charge depending on the show but most times you can find someone passing out free passes in the plaza. The beers are about 3€ for a glass or bottle and 5€ for a mixed drink - Very good for the clubs on the plaza. Expect a line in the busy summer months but you should have no problem getting into the club. The bar stays open until 3 in the morning most nights throughout the year.
