- How to get there: The Metro and FCG trains in Barcelona run until midnight Sunday-Thursday and until 2am Friday and Saturday. They reopen at 5am Monday-Saturday, and 6am Sundays and holidays. The night buses run about twice an hour from approximately 10:30pm until 5am. And taxis are always running 24 hours a day.

Evening in Barcelona has its own rhythm. Typically, dinner is at about 9pm. You meet up for drinks around 11pm. Although you can find some places to start earlier, generally dancing doesn't really get started until about 2am. Unless you're in an all night discotheque, you might have to move on to a full fledged discotheque or an after hours, at around 3am when many bars close. Then as the sun is coming up, the tradition is to have churros dipped in your thick hot chocolate before stumbling home to sleep.
