This beautiful winery takes up more than 365 hectares in the wine-producing region of Penedès. Located in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, about 28km from Barcelona, this beautiful mansion, typical of the 1920s, has been declared a listed building by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The winery was built upon an old estate, which dates back to the 18th century. In 1915 two brothers acquired the estate and laid the foundations for what would become one of Catalonia's premier producers of wine and cava (Catalan sparkling wine). Their first bottles were presented at the 1929 World Exposition in Barcelona.
The architectural style is a fine example of the Noucentista style, which was extremely popular during the 1920s. Influenced by both Italian and French wineries, the mansion combines elements of Tuscan Renaissance architecture with a decidedly Mediterranean flair that recalls the white and sunny villas of Andalucia. Aristocratic elegance and colourful Mediterranean tile-work come together in a setting that adds a note of refined country charm to weddings, celebrations, private parties, company and corporate events.
