Barcelona is a fantastic city to visit with a myriad of things for people to do and see. Some of the major attractions and their positions are shown on the map above. Further information on current art exhibitions and musical/cinematic events can be got by going to one of the cities many tourist Information Offices (eg under Plaça Catalunya) or by buying 'La Guia del Ocio' which is a weekly magazine that can be bought at any newstand.

Generally Barcelona is an easy city to get around and there is a very good Tourist Bus which visits most of the main attractions. (see Transport). We fully recommend taking the time to explore Barcelona on foot too. With the city being sandwiched between the mountains and the sea, and then the grid system running through a large proportion of the city, it is a relatively easy place to explore without the danger of getting lost.
