Arc de Triomf

Created for the 1888 Great Exhibition of Barcelona, this red-brick colossus stands as the portal to the Park de la Ciutadella and was built as a welcome post to the exhibition – a fact that is mirrored by the figures and carvings on the front. Worth seeing just for the sense of weight it portrays, you can take this in whilst visiting the Park and the zoo to make the trip more worthwhile.
