Description

A nice, executive apartment in a stunning period building, right in the heart of Barcelona. The apartment is located just a few minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya and the Gothic Quarter, whilst being in the prestigious and safe Eixample region. As you walk into the building the marble staircase and concierge let you know right away that you are staying in a superior establishment.
The apartment is furnished to the highest of standards and is meticulous in every way. There is a large bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom with a bath tub as well as a shower. The spacious living room is open-plan with a small kitchen area, which despite being compact is complete with microwave, a kettle, coffee maker, toaster, cooker and all the necessary cooking utensils.

About the Neighbourhood / District - Eixample


The Eixample is the modernist residential and commercial area which stems upwards and outwards from the Plaza Catalunya, its famous grid system of straight streets designed in the 1860s to accommodate the old city´s swelling population.

The area is generally talked about in terms of its left side (of Paseo de Gracia) and right side. Gaudi´s iconic Sagrada Familia church sits on the right side. The Fundacio Antoni Tapies, whose pioneering Islamic-inspired building was designed by famous Modernist Catalan architect Domenech i Montaner, is on the left.
Most of the apartments in the Eixample are within easy walking distance from Paseo de Gracia with its two wonderful modernist period buildings by Antoni Gaudi and other architects.
The Eixample is very well connected, and from here you can easily walk or take buses or taxis to the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas for attractions such as the Picasso museum and the Cathedral.
There are endless restaurants and street cafes to relax in throughout the area, which is full of stunning modernist buildings adorned with intricate stone and iron facades.
This is where the rich and famous have traditionally lived and it is still a popular upmarket residential and business area.

We were very please with the service, especially attending our requests by Mr. Jean Bernard. We have one comment - the matress is poor and unpleasant - it is quite uncomfortable for a couple and it is in poor condition. It definitely does not match the level of the apprtement which we would be happy to return to on our next visit, if it is fixed.

Booking with BCN was done very profesionnaly and easily. The appatrment is very well located. It was clean, quiet, well heated and decently furnished. However, it requires tender loving care and update to correspond to the ''luxury'' description on the website and to be worth the price being asked. Wall decorations had been shifted around and you could see the old marks on the walls - the place needs a fresh coat of paint. The night table on one side of the bed was coming off the wall. The clothe dryer in the bathroom was falling apart. Dishes did not correspond to a luxury appartment: there was only 3 dinner plates and the salad plates did not match... And, most unfortunaltely, this appartement just like the previous BCN place we rented, does not have wine glasses. Of all the places I have rented around the world, BCN is the only one that does not provide wine glasses. It would cost very little to stock the cupboards with 4 cheap wine glasses.

The apartment was very convenient - an easy walk to some museums and many attractions. The location felt safe during the day or night and the building/apartment also felt safe. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. One point which would have made things easier for us...the apartment had a washer/dryer and microwave...It would help to have some English instructions for the appliances. We did enjoy our stay and have recommended bcninternet to friends who will be travelling to Barcelona.

Our apartment in Barcelona was excellent - excellent location and quite spacious and bright. We especially appreciated the washer/dryer availability. We felt we were in a safe area, a safe building and were very comfortable throughout the 8 nights we stayed there. The concierge during the week was very friendly and helpful if we had any questions. The BCN agent we met was friendly and gave us very good instructions on everything we needed to know. We would definitely book an apartment through BCN if we visit Barcelona again.

I found the apartment to be absolutely fantastic! The area it was in was extremely pretty and safe with some of the loveliest boutiques very close by! Also the location was ideal. It wasn't even a 5minute walk to Plaza Catalunya!! Also the meet up was fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment!

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment and was really impressed on how clean, close to the centre and affordable it was. I stayed in one of your other apartments closer to the Ramblas last year with colleagues and have recommended you to various friends and relatives as its one of the best ways of staying in Barcelona.

Suite à mon séjour à Barcelone je souhaiterai laisser un petit commentaire sur la location afin que cela puisse servir à d'autre loueur: Appartement superbe à tout point de vue (Equipement, confort, propreté, et surtout localisation hyper centrale). Il y a un parking à proximité de l'appartement à 22-23 €/jour (ne pas aller au parking public à 42 €/jour) L'accueil est parfait : gentillesse, ponctualité ..... Le seul bémol est que l'environnement est un peu bruyant car beaucoup de passage sur l'avenue en bas de l'immeuble (prévoir boule Quiès pour un séjour idéal).Cet appartement est à recommander vivement.

We head great time. The apartment was really nice and the location is great. The metro station is just 100 m away but we used it very little since the location is perfect for walking around the city center. The apartment is perfect for a couple, spacey enough and great air conditioning.

Thank you. We did have a fantastic time and found the accommation excellent. The apartment itself was very good - clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The representative who oriented us was wonderful - helpful, friendly, charming. When we had a problem with the lock and called the office, the response was prompt and solved the problem. recommend you to friends. Thanks so much for making our all too short stay in Barcelona so pleasant!
