When its raining (not very often in Barcelona) and the children have lots of energy why not take them to a Happy Park, to romp around in massive play zones, roll in barrels, jump into pits full of multi-coloured plastic balls, slide down slides & much more.hours of fun in one place (covered). Cable car The best ride in the city is to the castle at the top of Montjuïc, several minutes of shrieking and gasping as you ride in the 4 person pods, above the port & harbour, with fantastic views of the city. Not for the faint-hearted. Single fare: 3,60 euros, Return ticket 5,00 euros. Children´s round trip 3,90 euros. 11am-7.15 pm except 17 June to 15 Sept 11am to 21.00 hrs. The cable car runs between Miramar and Montjuïc across the harbor to Torre de Jaume I, on Barcelona 's moll (quay), and on to Torre de Sant Sebastià, at the end of Passeig Joan de Borbó in Barceloneta. You can board at either stage. |

From Placa Catalunya you can get the tourist bus, leaving every 6-30 minutes (depending on the season) which stops at 27 different tourist attractions around the city. There are 2 routes, red & blue route taking in different parts of the city, and the buses are open top. This is often a good way of seeing the city with children. Entrance to many attractions is discounted with a bus ticket. Prices. 1 day adult 15 euros, child 4-12 years 9 euros. 2 days: Adults 19 euros & child 4-12 yrs 12 euros. As a good alternative to the Tourist Bus, you can also use the Orange Bus, which has the advantage of having just one route throughout the city. Orange buses can be taken also in Plaza Catalunya, in front of the Hard Rock Cafe. |

Municipal del Guinardo has a big open air pool in Adva Mare de Deu de Montserrat , near the church of the same name, from June to mid September. Torre de Aigues This is a great place for young children to cool off in central Barcelona, in the heart of Eixample, close to Girona metro station (The knee-high pool with bridge & water tower in the middle, has sand to picnic on next to it, and lots of trees for shade- a great place for under 7´s to splash about for a bargain 1 euro entrance fee.
